Summary
Accorduon doesn’t collect any data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no third-party code, and it never connects to the internet. Everything you make with it stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share it.
What Accorduon collects
Nothing. Accorduon has no servers, sends nothing over the network, and doesn’t track you. We, 1640 LLC, never receive your settings, your recordings, or anything about how you use the app.
What stays on your iPhone
Your settings, including the last song you loaded on the player, are saved in the app’s own preferences.
Your recordings are saved in the app’s Recordings folder. You can play, share, or delete them in Settings > Recordings, and they’re removed when you delete the app. Like other app data, they’re included in backups of your iPhone if you make them.
While a video is recording, the app writes a temporary file and then moves it into the Recordings folder.
Recordings contain only Accorduon’s own picture and sound. The app never uses the microphone or the camera.
Photos
Accorduon asks for permission to add to your photo library only when you tap Save to Photos on a video. This permission lets it add videos. It can’t see, read, or change anything already in your library. You can change it at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos on your iPhone.
Motion and the hinge
On iPhone Duo, the app reads the hinge angle to work the bellows. On any iPhone, it can read the phone’s motion to work the bellows (when Air source is set to Motion) and to move the highlights on the instrument as you tilt it (Settings > Look > Reflections follow motion). This data is used on your iPhone as it happens. It’s never stored and never leaves the device.
Sharing
When you tap Share on a recording, the recording goes only where you send it, using the share sheet. What happens to it after that depends on the app or person you send it to.
Siri and Shortcuts
You can ask Siri to play a song or to start or stop a recording, and you can use these actions in the Shortcuts app. Accorduon gives Siri and Shortcuts only the names of its built-in songs. Apple handles your voice requests under Apple’s own privacy policy.
Links
The About screen lists the licensed fonts and sounds the app uses. Tapping one of those links opens the creator’s website in your browser. Accorduon itself doesn’t load any web pages.
Apple’s analytics
If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in Settings on your iPhone, Apple may send us crash reports and anonymous usage statistics. Apple collects these, not Accorduon, under Apple’s privacy policy. You can turn this off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Accorduon is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
Help
No iPhone Duo? On any iPhone, tap the gear badge, then choose Compact air > Air source: Drag (drag the bellows strip while you hold keys), Motion (rock the phone), or Auto (steady air whenever you hold a note).
On iPhone Duo, hold it half open like a book and open and close it: how fast you move it sets the air.
Tap the player badge, the one next to the record badge, to choose a song or to start and pause it, and touch and hold it to pick another song. With Roll needs air on, the song moves only while you pump the bellows.
Tap the record badge to start and stop a recording. Recordings are in Settings > Recordings, where you can play, share, or delete them, or save a video to Photos.
